Looking forward to the upcoming London premiere of Masterclass (at the Southbank Centre from the internationally renowned Irish theatre company Brokentalkers, and the award-winning feminist comedian Adrienne Truscott.

Following an award-winning international tour, globally renowned Irish theatre company Brokentalkers and acclaimed New York-based artist Adrienne Truscott bring their subversive, savage wit to this long-awaited London premiere.

This is a momentous moment for Brokentalkers because this is the first time the company is bringing a production to London.

The critically acclaimed piece (Winner Fringe First Award – 2022) focuses on the parody of the ‘great male artist’  through dynamic comic satire. It is a theatrical exploration of gender power politics with Truscott appearing as a macho Hemingway-esque playwright who gives a masterclass in condescension to the interviewer (played by Feidlim Cannon).

Truscott continues to push the boundaries with her fearless and provocative productions. She has multiple awards under her belt including the Edinburgh Comedy Awards Panel Prize and Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality.

Audiences can expect an array of flamboyant wigs, costume, absurdist theatre and stylised choreography.

Brokentalkers is renowned for using the stage as a powerful tool to examine global themes of misogyny, hierarchy and gender imbalance.
