OLIVER Glasner joked that Crystal Palace could sign 10 players from Manchester United after being asked about the Red Devils’ reported interest in some of his players ahead of the sides’ meeting at Selhurst Park on Monday.

United have been linked with Marc Guehi, Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise as the Old Trafford side are set for a big turnover in players this summer, with question marks also over the future of boss Erik Ten Hag.

In his pre-match press conference on Friday, Glasner was asked if it is an “audition” for some of his players.

“I also read that almost the whole squad of Manchester United is available, so maybe we can get 10 from them,” Glasner said. “Every game is an audition for the players and us as a team.

“I’m always optimistic as all these players have contracts with Crystal Palace. It is May and many situations can change.

“Nothing is 100 per cent but [Guehi] is under contract, he’s a good player, he’s our captain so I’m very positive and confident that he plays for Crystal Palace.”

Glasner added: “I expect a lot of quality. Players’ quality and coaching quality. Erik ten Hag did a fantastic job at Ajax. Last year they won a cup. Great manager, great team. They suffered from many injuries this season but they still have a lot of offensive quality. With respect but we go for the win.”

One player who made the switch from United to the Eagles is goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who moved for £20million last summer.

“It was difficult for him because when we arrived, just one game before it was the decision that Sam Johnstone was the starting goalkeeper. He took it very professionally,” Glasner said.

“He always had our confidence. He does an excellent job for us, big saves. He did an outstanding job for us at Liverpool with some great saves.”
