MILLWALL goalkeeper Lukas Jensen has returned to training on grass as he steps up his recovery from a torn Achilles.

Jensen. 26, has been out since April after suffering the injury in training.

Jensen joined current first-choice Steven Benda, George Evans and Joel Coleman as they were put through their paces by goalkeeper coach Dean Thornton.

Former Lincoln City stopper Jensen looked quick on his feet as Thornton instructed the goalkeepers in their technical drills. Jensen moved quickly over and back across his goal-line to catch shots aimed at him. He was shown doing slightly less vigorous work than his colleagues.

“The big Lukas is going to be out with us today. He’s back on the grass for the first time with us,” Thornton told Millwall TV ahead of the session.

“Again, part of his programme, real precaution, getting him back on the pitch, getting a bit of hand-eye coordination.

“It will be good to see the big man finally on the pitch with us – it will be a delight.”

Afterwards, Jensen said: “Great session back on the grass – can’t wait to see you all!”
