‘I poured my heart and soul into this album’
Laura Evans has a new album out – Out of the Dark – and she will be showcasing her new music at a concert in Omeara, SE1’s top live music venue.
Laura has been all over the airwaves lately and her last single, Honest, made it on to Radio 2’s playlist where Scott Mills was raving about it on his morning show.
Plus, music mags who have had a sneak listen are already writing good things about the album.

Laura says her music is more blues influenced with country and rock grooves in there. I’ve had a preview of Out of the Dark and was reminded that Laura’s music is full of good tunes, catchy melodies and lyrics you can relate to. It’s a brand of rock that comes with country blues and soul woven in, and that’s a good kind of music; a music that everyone can find something good in. It is a confident album that marks Laura out as an artist and story teller. It is both listenable and danceable.
The singer says, ‘I poured my heart and soul into this album… There are big pop chorus, introspective bluesy ballads, a southern rock edge and even a dreamy interlude. It’s a little bit of everything I love, tied together with honesty. I worked with some amazing co-writers on this album who really pushed me both with my writing and vocals and I feel these are some of my best songs to date.”
