A candid, unfiltered conversation about art, honesty, feminism and the life behind the artwork
Known for her confessional and confrontational work, Emin has spent decades transforming the personal into the political – exploring love, loss, sex, illness, shame and survival with unflinching honesty.
From neon to needlework, painting to installation, her work sits at the heart of contemporary feminist discourse.
In this special edition of The Guilty Feminist, Frances-White meets Emin one-on-one for a deep, searching conversation. Together, they explore the stories behind the art, reflect on a life and career built upon radical honesty, and what it means to keep making, speaking and resisting.
Deborah Frances-White is an award-winning writer and comedian, best known as the host of The Guilty Feminist podcast, which has amassed over 200 million downloads worldwide. A Sunday Times bestselling author, screenwriter and broadcaster, she is known for bringing nuance, humour and urgency to contemporary feminist conversations.
