Millwall’s Romain Esse makes third start alongside Premier League starlets – but England miss out

ROMAIN Esse made his third start in three games as England under-18s finished their tournament in Portugal with a 0-0 draw against the hosts in Lisbon.

The result meant that Portugal won the International Tournament of Lisbon trophy.

Esse scored in the opening game, a 2-2 draw against Norway, and also started in the 3-2 win against Australia.

The 18-year-old winger will now head away for a break before re-joining the Millwall squad when they start pre-season preparations at the end of the month.

This aquad of England players will be the under-19 group next season. They will be involved in Euro Championship qualifying, with the first round scheduled for October.
