KEVIN Nisbet earned his 11th cap as swashbuckling Scotland swept aside Georgia at a drenched Hampden Park on Tuesday night.

Nisbet came on in the 79th minute as Steve Clarke’s side defeated the visitors 2-0 in Group A of Euro 2024 qualifying.

After Callum McGregor had given the Scots a sixth-minute lead, the game was paused due to a downpour with the Georgians seemingly not wanting to resume play.

The teams eventually emerged at the time the match was due to finish and Scott McTominay added the second in the 47th minute.

Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia fired an injury-time penalty over the bar.

Nisbet was confirmed as a signing from Hibernian earlier this month and along with Northern Ireland’s George Saville and Wales forward Tom Bradshaw will have extra time off before linking up with the squad ahead of the pre-season training camp in Spain.
