Fulham are being linked with a move for Juventus defender Luca Pellegrini as Marco Silva steps up his recruitment drive.
Left-back Pellegrini, 24, has one full Italy cap to his name and spent last season on loan at both Eintracht Frankfurt and Lazio.
First team opportunities look limited at Juve again this year and the Italian giants are keen to cash in on a player who has only represented them 18 times since joining from Roma four years ago.
Lazio want to snap up Pellegrini on a permanent basis but have been unable to agree a fee with their Serie A rivals, prompting Fulham and Nice to enter the chase for his signature.
One Italian journalist claims personal terms to sign for the Cottagers are currently in place and now it just needs the Londoners to come up with a price which Juve will accept.
Fulham also look poised to sign Everton winger Demari Gray.
Both Sky Sports and The Athletic claim Gray is on the brink of a move to Craven Cottage, although there remains a difference in opinion about how much the transfer will cost.
The winger, who scored a memorable equaliser for the Toffees to secure an unexpected point at champions Man City last season, is keen to stay in the Premier League after Everton snubbed an offer from Besiktas.
That goal against City came under Frank Lampard before the subsequent appointment of Sean Dyche saw Gray fall down the pecking order at Goodison.
It is understood the 27-year-old is not currently training with the Toffees ahead of his anticipated exit from Merseyside, so now it just looks a matter of thrashing out an agreed fee for Fulham to seal the deal.
Other players who have been linked with Silva’s side in recent days include Swansea keeper Steven Benda, Leicester City full-back Timothy Castagne and Norwich defender Max Aarons.
