RYAN Longman has joined Millwall on a season-long loan as the Lions look to beef up their squad on deadline day.
The 22-year-old’s arrival comes after the departures of Andreas Voglsammer and George Evans earlier in the day.
Longman is an attacker who can play in a number of positions and emerged from Brighton’s youth academy.
He only made a single senior appearance for the Seagulls before joining AFC Wimbledon and Hull City in loan deals in back-to-back season.
Longman then joined the Tigers permanently and made 37 appearances last season.
“Ryan is a player we know really well having tried to sign him previously, so we are very pleased to add him to our squad,” said Alex Aldridge, Millwall’s Director of Football Operations and Recruitment.
“He gives us another option in forward, wide and wing-back areas – on both sides of the pitch – and the ability to score and create goals from different positions. His work ethic and the intensity with which he trains and plays will really suit our culture.”
He is the seventh signing Millwall have made this window and the second loan deal they have agreed, after Brooke Norton-Cuffy’s arrival from Arsenal.
