“It suddenly occurred to me the other night, I think everyone hates us.”

“That’s because they do hate us.”

Brad Sutherland’s Just Stop Extinction Rebellion is a brand new romantic comedy produced by Maiden Productions and directed by Kenneth Michaels.

Millicent and Ben meet at an environmental activist group and find hope in each other and in saving the planet. But when Millicent realises that her activist colleagues won’t adopt the necessary actions to save the planet, she has to employ the group’s extreme tactics on the group itself. But will it work? And is Ben really the right man to help her save her world?

Just Stop Extinction Rebellion is about finding hope when facing extinction. The play also raises questions about the tactics employed by climate activist groups, while also giving the activists the opportunity to justify the necessity of such tactics.

The cast includes Louise Bangay, James Price, Orsolya Nagy, Stephen Riddle and Hilary Field, and designed by Samantha Parry.

The White Bear Theatre, is 138 Kennington Park Road, London SE11 4DJ.

Dates: 30 January to 10 February. Times: Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm.
