PETERBOROUGH United striker Jonson Clarke-Harris is weighing up his options as he mulls over a move to Charlton Athletic.
The Peterborough Telegraph have reported that the Addicks have offered Clarke-Harris, 29, a ‘generous salary package’ after talks with the player and his representatives.
The clubs have agreed a fee of around £500,000 for the former Bristol Rovers and Coventry City forward.
Clarke-Harris has scored ten goals in 24 appearances for the Posh this season, including both goals in their 2-2 draw at home to Barnsley in their last League One game of 2023.
“Johnno has not yet agreed personal terms and I’m not sure how long Charlton will wait,” Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson said recently.
“It’s up to Johnno what happens. It’s in his hands. He’s been fantastic for us, but he knows his playing time here will be limited now so he needs a fresh challenge.”
Ferguson’s side are third in League One, two points off the automatic promotion places.
Michael Appleton’s Charlton are thirteenth ahead of the clash between the two sides at The Valley on Saturday.
