Off The Chest poetry will return to Omnibus Theatre for a night of trailblazing poetry. This will include feature sets from acclaimed contemporary poets: the multi-award-winning Joe Carrick-Varty will be reading poems from his T. S. Eliot Prize nominated collection More Sky, plus Elle Dillon-Reams, an electrifying spoken word artist, as recently featured on BBC Radio 6, alongside Arlo Parks and Tim Key.
As well as these highly anticipated performances, Off The Chest’s renowned open-mic segment offers poets of all backgrounds, stages and ages to take to the mic. Each poet will be given up to four minutes to share their work. This night will be an exclusive opportunity to perform your poetry alongside celebrated artists.
Hosted by poets Ella Dorman-Gajic and Iftikhar Latif, Off The Chest is a thriving poetry organisation supported by Arts Council England. They are proud to champion original voices and poets of diverse backgrounds. Since 2019, they have been creating spaces for poetry through inclusive live events and workshops; they have hosted multiple sell-out poetry nights and programmed pioneers of the contemporary poetry scene, including internationally acclaimed poets Yomi Sode, Rachel Long, Anthony Anaxogorou, Ella Frears and many more.
