Centred around five friends living together during their second year at university, their world begins to crumble when one of them is accused of rape.
Trust erodes, loyalties shift, and the truth becomes increasingly elusive – until Megan comes forward with information that changes everything.
With scenes of complete naturalism contrasted by scene changes of TikTok fantasy, the play highlights the truths and complications of modern dating alongside the filter of how we present our lives on social media. It tackles the conversation of consent in a way that’s currently missing from our theatres and tv screens.
Bonded Theatre Productions are in a fundraising partnership with Women’s Aid, who have been incredibly supportive, not just of the play’s message but of its fresh, honest perspective.
While the subject matter is undeniably serious, the production is also full of warmth, wit and the messy, joyful chaos of student life – creating a night of theatre that is both hard-hitting and surprisingly uplifting.
Elodie Foray directs Paddy Lintin, Becky Bond(Writer), Amaarah Roze, Sukey Willis and William Huke.
The Union Theatre, 229 Union St, London, SE1 0LR from 4th – 9th November.
