Elvis Is Coming Direct From Australia

One Night Only in Waterloo

On Saturday June 20, 2026, Daniel Aranda will present an intimate piano-voice-cello performance at the 1901 Arts Club titled The Music of Elvis Presley – Direct From Australia

Rather than a tribute in the conventional sense, the evening is conceived as a salon recital exploring the American repertoire popularised by Presley, reinterpreted through a chamber lens.

The programme reframes familiar works such as “Can’t Help Falling in Love”“Love Me Tender” and “It’s Now or Never” as art-song studies, drawing attention to their melodic lineage, lyrical craftsmanship and place within the broader American songbook.

The performance is deliberately stripped back: no impersonation, no theatrics, simply voice, piano, cello and storytelling in the candlelit setting of Waterloo’s beautiful 1901 Arts Club.

The intention is less nostalgia and more musical reconsideration, examining how repertoire often associated with popular spectacle can reveal unexpected depth when treated with recital sensibility.

Aranda has recently collaborated and recorded with legendary Elvis session musicians Charlie McCoy and Alex Acuña, and will perform “So Close, Yet So Far” live on the night. He continues to position himself as a modern concert artist dedicated to preserving and reinterpreting classic popular music for contemporary audiences.

As an Australian artist currently expanding into the UK, this London performance marks the beginning of a wider British programme of intimate cultural concerts.1901 Arts Club, 7 Exton Street, Waterloo, SE1 8UE Saturday June 20
