LOOP:Artists in Print will be holding its 20th Anniversary exhibition! LOOP’s thirty-two artists aim to bring their audience closer to the joy of seeing prints at close range, so they price their work reasonably and are delighted to be showing again at the easily accessible Bankside Gallery.
Visitors will receive a warm welcome, with a full programme of printmakers demonstrating their working processes throughout the exhibition.
Special guest Oona Grimes RA will open the show, and the evening will also feature a performance piece from artist Fungai Marima. LOOP Artists in Print was founded in 2005 by MA graduates from Camberwell School of Art, and this year includes a tribute to LOOP’s founder John Tate. LOOP is proud to continue the Camberwell connection, and this year MA prizewinner Minglu Zhang will be our guest exhibitor.
LOOP is excited to welcome several other new exhibitors this year, and the show will be full of surprises as each artist presents a new body of work. Printing on found materials, manipulating surfaces to make 3D forms, etching in remote landscapes, combining digitised imagery with collage, these are some of the processes explored by LOOP artists in their latest prints as they continue to find new ways to examine and record responses to a changing world.
