This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the Gay Liberation Front in the UK, the movement that was born out of the Stonewall Uprising in New York and radically shifted the narrative around LGBTQ+ equality in the UK, leading to the first Gay Pride March in London in 1972.
While other spaces have exhibited GLF artefacts before, this is the first ever exhibition to focus solely on the artwork, of whatever form, made for and by GLF activists from the last 50 years, as well as younger LGBTQ+ activist artists
