A Celebration with Purpose
This special International Women’s Day event will also raise funds for Solace Women’s Aid, supporting women and children affected by domestic abuse. A raffle featuring generous prizes from Bermondsey’s buzzing food and drink scene will take place on the night.
Curator and co-founder Aisha Khan says: “International Women’s Day is about honouring the women who paved the way for us, especially in genres like rock ’n’ roll and rhythm & blues, where their contributions weren’t always fully recognised. This night is about celebrating that legacy while spotlighting the incredible female artists carrying the torch today. And doing it while raising funds for such an important cause makes it even more meaningful.”
The Malt Bar, Arch 46, Ropewalk, Maltby St, London SE1 3PA. 7pm, 7th March, £18.
