Summer Programme for Southwark Park Galleries

Southwark Park Galleries launches the London presentation of Artists’ Film International 2025: Dream States. This year’s 18th edition of AFI explores dreaming as both a transformative state and a radical act, challenging perceptions of reality and opening pathways to alternative futures.

Curated across both the Dilston and Lake Galleries, the exhibition includes the UK premiere of The Fortress (2024) by Turner Prize and Jarman Award shortlisted artist Sin Wai Kin. AFI’25 is in partnership with Forma, who curate Artists’ Film International in collaboration with 16 cultural institutions across four continents presenting the programme around the world.

Abstract painter Jess Blandford was selected by Southwark Park Galleries alumni artists Joy Labinjo and Paul Purgas as the winner of our 40th Annual Open in 2024 — London’s longest-running democratic exhibition. Tender draws on the experience of care-giving and the labour of care to reflect on the complex physical, mental and emotional work involved.

Exhibition launches are free and open to everyone, with no booking required.
