A very naughty but nice adult panto

Following a critically acclaimed, sold-out run at The Turbine Theatre in 2024, How Cool productions and The Union Theatre have announced the highly anticipated re-staging of The Liar, the Bitch and the Wardrobe by Joshua Coley.

Directed by Sasha Regan, this outrageously funny and irreverent musical spectacle guarantees a Christmas celebration that is definitely naughty but nice.

The Liar, the Bitch and the Wardrobe takes the classic festive tradition and flips it on its head. The story follows raggedy East London young lovers, Edward and Peter, who are evacuated and shipped off to Babs Douche’s Boarding School for Bad Butch Boys.

Their adventure truly begins when they stumble across a wardrobe that leads them not to a snow-covered fantasy, but a “very different kind of Narnia”.

Here, they encounter familiar and hilariously twisted characters, including Mr. Topless, The Hungry Beaver, and the evil Tight Bitch.

The production is a whirlwind of popular culture references, adult humour, and energetic musical numbers, featuring homages to artists like Chappell Roan and Taylor Swift.

The production stars Katie Ball,Tom Duern, James Georgia and Joe Pieri.

Musical Director: Richard Baker, Designer: Reuben Speed, Costume Designer: Janet Huckle, Producers: Nik Haukohl and Sasha Regan, Stage Manager: Owen Hollands, Casting Director: Adam Braham
