Lucy Bailed returns to the Globe to direct the 2022 Globe Ensemble, beginning with the Bard’s Much Ado about Nothing. During April 1945, in Northern Italy, following years of war, Leonata and her daughters reopen their battle-scarred palazzo for a celebration to welcome the partisan soldiers back from recent hard-fought victories. Young lovers Hero and Claudio and proud singletons Beatrice and Benedick have their limits tested like never before in a wild mix of games, pranks and mischievous plots.

Crystal Palace unplugged
Crystal Palace Park is gearing up for Wireless Festival, featuring A$AP Rocky, and in UK Festival exclusives: The Kid Laroi, J. Cole, Playboi Carti, Gunna, Ari Lennox, Tyler the creator, Roddy Ricch, Kali Uchis and more. Controversial figure Chris Brown has also just joined the line-up and is set to perform at the Crystal Palace and Birmingham legs of the event, marking his first live UK concerts in 12 years. Wireless 2022 is running across three sites:

An Empire State of Mind
Jazz fans, put this date in your diary. The Paxton Centre in Crystal Palace is welcoming back B.D Lenz and Friends for the only London gig on their month-long UK tour.
Guitarist extraordinaire B.D Lenz is based out of the New Jersey/New York area and his music has been featured on hundreds of TV shows around the globe. He’s released ten CDs of his unique brand of funky jazz that fuses virtuoso musicianship with expert songwriting. Joining B.D. will be James Rosocha (bass) and Joe Falcey (drums). Together, this trio will keep you surprised with their eclectic mix of jazz standards and original music. Joining them will be very special guest, music royalty John Altman, a highly accomplished musician’s musician who’s won both BAFTAs and EMMYs. As an arranger, John has worked with the best: Diana Ross, George Michael, Goldie, Bjork, Rod Stewart, Tom Jones, Tina Turner and more. He’s a featured sax player in leading jazz clubs and festivals around the world and regularly records jazz albums with a jazz quartet or his big band.
