Making a DEBUT
DEBUT returns for their fun and lively signature-style DEBUT Christmas Concert at Brunel Museum. Banquet under the Thames at Brunel Museum
The Brunel Museum sits on the site of the Thames Tunnel, the world’s first tunnel under a navigable river. In November 1827, the Brunels hosted a banquet in the partially complete tunnel, partly to reassure shareholders understandably twitchy about recent flooding in the Tunnel.
The museum is now displaying the painting ‘Banquet in the Thames Tunnel’ by George Jones, depicting the event, until 19 February 2023.

Yuletide celebrations

Silly sausage
A pop-up dog café that attracts thousands of dachshunds a year is coming to Bermondsey for a one-off Christmas-themed event. Pup Up Café, founded by Marcus Ackford, based in Exeter, travels the UK bringing breed specific dog communities together. Their latest tour – the ‘Dashing Dachshund Christmas Tour 2022’ – is coming to Bermondsey on the 19 November.
Pups will get a Christmas-themed present on entry, as well as unlimited treats and puppiccinos.

Christmas at the farm
Surrey Docks Farm will be hosting its last event of the year on Saturday 3 December for its Christmas Fair. From 11am to 4pm, you can get in the festive spirit at the Farm, where there’ll be carol singing, craft stalls, mulled wine, Santa’s grotto, plus a wreath-making workshop and beautiful Christmas trees on sale.
