What are you living for? What would you be prepared to die for?
“Bloody Mary and the Nine Day Queen” tells the story of Lady Jane Grey and her cousin Mary I.
This brand new musical, written by Gareth Hides with Anna Unwin, is a fresh take on a lesser-known part of history charting the brief and tragic reign of Jane and features a dynamic score orchestrated by David Gibson.
Directed by Adam Stone and produced by Handiwork Productions, the show stars Cezarah Bonner (The King and I, Miss Saigon) as Mary and Anna Unwin (Aspects of Love, I Should Be So Lucky) as Jane.
Serious in tone but laced with moments of humour, this production offers a compelling and accessible take on a chapter in Tudor history.
