Chris Leicester’s latest play, 180⁰ Chord, tells the tale of when a ruthless copper ends up in the same place that he has been sending people to for years. The word gets out, and someone on the wing begins living in fear…
180⁰ Chord does not take the obvious route for this situation:
You’re the pride of the police force. You’re ruthless and unethical – then fate intervenes. One moment you’re a detective sergeant and the next, a convicted murderer. Now you’re in the very same prison you sent most of your scalps to. News of your arrival spreads, the riot starts, and they come looking for you. A fellow inmate hides you in his cell and you flee together. But who is Connor and why is he protecting you exactly? You’ll soon find out as your past life comes back to haunt you.

Chris Leicester, who also directs and produces, says, ‘I wanted to find a situation where life completely and suddenly flips on its head – and this situation fits the bill perfectly.’
With two renowned Midlands actors, Paul Findlay and Dominic Thompson, he is taking his 10th play out on tour and will reach Greenwich TheatreStudio on January 5th for a two-week run.
