Greenwich Theatre presents the world premiere of Peter Martyn’s Ghosts, a gripping 75-minute, dark comedy drama exploring the raw mechanics of male conflict resolution under conditions of total isolation.
Set on a remote, unforgiving island, the play strips away the safety nets of modern society to examine what happens when two men are forced to face each other – and themselves – with nowhere to run. Ex-Reality TV star, Johnny Gold, living in self-imposed exile, is visited by millionaire adventurer Kerrigan. One wishes to leave the island, the other wishes to stay. Neither can get what he wants without the cooperation of the other.
This strictly limited two-night studio run stars James Turner (Executive Director of the Greenwich Theatre) and actor Nick Thomas.
Serving as an intimate, developmental, first iteration, this exclusive staging offers audiences and critics a first look at a powerful new text before it scales up to the Greenwich Theatre’s 400+ seat main auditorium early next year.
