New Pop-Rock Musical
The Gardening Club makes its London debut after a sell out run at the Edinburgh Fringe.
The Gardening Club is a new pop-rock musical set in 1960s Georgia, USA, where five women run an illegal birth control pill operation under the cover of a gardening club. A journalist, a nurse, a housewife, and two teenage sisters join forces to quietly distribute contraception to the women of Savannah at a time when it was banned for unmarried women in many states.
The show tackles themes of bodily autonomy, self-discovery and first times, with a contemporary edge and a bold, pop-rock score.

Leading the cast is Emma Wallace as Phoebe, a fiery receptionist who dreams of becoming a front-page journalist. Olivia Quinn as Betty, a brave nurse and fierce friend. Hannah Greensmith as Sheila, a picture-perfect housewife with a seemingly flawless marriage. Emma Espada as Maggie, a free-spirited teen who embraces her sexuality without shame, and Lola Garlick as Vicki, Maggie’s younger sister and a bookworm looking for adventure.
Rounding up the cast are Richie Paisley as Miles, Isaac Moore as Luke, and Harry Belton as Cliff, Jasmine Bates (ensemble/understudy), and Rebecca Roberts (ensemble/understudy).
Directed by Tara Noonan, the production features book, music, and lyrics by newcomers Carleigh McRitchie and Bella Wright.
New Wimbledon Theatre, 93 The Broadway, London SW19 1QG from 18th-27th, 2025.
