St Martin-In-The-Fields’ beautiful exterior will be illuminated with sound and light, taking visitors on an incredible journey, redefining the experiential immersive art world by combining art, sound, history and centuries-old architecture to create an extraordinary multi-sensory experience that lasts around 30-60 minutes, followed by a luminous 15-minute final seated sequence.
Having popped-up in cities all over the country, this exciting immersive exhibition is coming to the heart of London.

During the darker months, watch Space by Luxmuralis light up and transform the building with a truly out-of-this-world experience where visitors are invited to walk amongst the stars and experience a dazzling journey across the universe, exploring the cosmos, the four-billion-year epic of the Earth, and the story of humankind’s place in the universe.
Perfect for a dark winter’s evening, the show begins outside in the Courtyard where visitors can enjoy drinks in our outdoor Courtyard Café & Bar. The colourful and immersive light experience then continues, illuminating the whole interior of the Church to bespoke music. A dazzling journey across the universe, exploring the cosmos, which displays the first rocket launch, the creation story and the Big Bang amidst an atmospheric soundscape. Lastly, visitors can see Earth as if looking back from space under a galaxy of stars.
For one night only, immerse yourself in a Silent Disco like no other. On Wednesday, 18th of February Luxmuralis will transform the space with a spellbinding constellation of ever-looping stars. In this unique experience, DJs will spin across three separate channels on your wireless headphones, offering everything from classics to today’s chart-toppers. The crypt comes alive in an entirely new way – stars shifting, flowing, and orbiting around you as you dance, wrapped in light.
Space is produced by artist and renowned sculptor Peter Walker, Artistic Director at Luxmuralis. His work reflects a broad and innovative approach to storytelling through art. Credited for creating ‘the stained-glass windows of our time’, Luxmuralis brings stories to life through an understanding of art and historical context of such institutions to paint the architecture with light, bringing together the contemporary and the ancient.

Luxmuralis Artistic Director Peter Walker says: the vision is “bringing to life the stories and concepts of our time in a way that stained glass did generations before [and] it is wonderful to play a part in the contemporary life of St Martin’s, bringing this new artform and adding it to these centuries of artistic and cultural history.”
St Martin-In-The-Fields, Trafalgar Square, London WC2N 4JJ from 17th – 21st February.
