U.K. Street Art’s Defiant Leap from the City Streets to the Gallery Walls
Street art is among the most influential cultural movements of the last sixty years, yet major galleries and institutions often overlook its impact.
Opening this November, Tom Cox Gallery in Crystal Palace presents UNLIMITED, a landmark exhibition celebrating the profound range, evolution, and technical mastery of modern urban art.
“I look at the massive cultural footprint of street art and want to shine the spotlight on it,” says gallery owner and curator Tom Cox. “UNLIMITED is a celebration of how bold, diverse styles, from underground graffiti icons to the newest wave of studio-led muralist, hold up in a gallery environment.”

This unique exhibition features a powerhouse, multi-generational roster of U.K. talent: AROE, .EOPD, Dosa, Hicks, Inkie, Molly Hankinson, Mr Cenz, Nathan Bowen, and Zoe Power.
Spanning everything from classic underground lettering to striking illustration and funky portraiture, UNLIMITED offers collectors a focused look at the immense skill driving today’s street art scene. This is a rare opportunity to acquire powerful works from a movement that continues to redefine contemporary art.
Mr Cenz, a South London legend and internationally renowned street artist says, “Painting on the street is about bringing quality artwork to people and communities who don’t have the opportunities to go to traditional galleries and museums. Our job as street artists is to make a positive impact with our work and to inspire and enhance the lives of the local people who see it every day.”
