Five fire engines and around 35 firefighters tackled a flat fire on Casson Square in Southbank yesterday (Wednesday, August 9).

Part of a three-roomed flat on the seventh floor of the building was damaged by fire.
Fortunately there were no reports of any injuries.
Fire crews from Lambeth, Dockhead, Old Kent Road and Shoreditch stations attended the scene and it took just under half an hour to bring it under control after being called at 6.17pm.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Firefighters recommend that you have a look at our online Home Fire Safety Checker to make sure there are no hidden hazards in your home.“
The online tool will ask you a series of questions that will help the Brigade work out the level of risk in your home, or the home of someone you care for.
A Brigade spokesperson added: “It only takes a few minutes to get tailored advice to keep yourself and loved ones safe from fire.”
