Once again, Living Bankside will host this year’s Great Get Together, a national street party to unite communities.
Now in its seventh year, the event is part of a nationwide series of weekend activities inspired by the memory of the late Jo Cox MP – who was shot and stabbed by a man who “did not share her political views.”
The events are an attempt to bring the community together and prove what Jo famously said to be true, that ‘we have more in common than that which divides us.’
Watch human towers being built before your eyes by Castellers of London, take part in the wacky races and listen to an array of performances from local choirs and sing-a-longs to drumming and samba.
Where? Borough Yards, 16 Stoney Street, SE1 9AD and around Borough Market
When? Saturday, June 24
from 12 pm – 6 pm.
