‘Seven children and two adults injured’ after Land Rover crashes into Wimbledon primary school

According to police seven children and two adults have been injured after a Land Rover vehicle crashed into a primary school in south London this morning.

Police have confirmed that they are ‘not treating this as terror related’ and that the driver stopped at the scene. 

The Study Preparatory School on Camp Road, Wimbledon is for girls aged 4 to 11 and is located near Wimbledon Common.

Emergency services responded to the incident at 9:54am.

According to LBC the London Ambulance Service has declared a major incident after they reported that a female driver crashed following what’s believed to be a medical incident.

In the latest live update from BBC the scene has got a lot calmer. Most of the emergency vehicles lining the common have now left.

Police have said there have been no arrests, that they await further updates on those injured as an investigation to understand the full circumstances of what has takes place.
