CRYSTAL Palace boss Oliver Glasner had a positive update on Eberechi Eze ahead of the Eagles’ Boxing Day trip to AFC Bournemouth.
Eze missed the 5-1 defeat to Arsenal at Selhurst Park at the weekend with a foot injury.
“He trained today. We have to look at the reaction but it looks good,” Glasner said.
Glasner also had an update on midfielder Adam Wharton. He said: “It’s difficult to tell you a timeline because we don’t know. Four weeks is more realistic than two weeks.”
Glasner was unhappy with how Palace defended their penalty area against Mikel Arteta’s side and that has been a focus as they prepare to face the high-flying Cherries.
“We trained today on what we think we have to improve,” Glasner said. “We prepare like we always do. It’s box defending, not about the whole defence. We defended the box not good enough. [Their] players had three yards of space.”
