ENGLAND manager Gareth Southgate is reportedly set to name Bukayo Saka at left wing-back as he is set to majorly revamp the side for the Euro 2024 quarter-final against Switzerland this evening.
Southgate has to make at least one personnel change, with Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi serving a one-game ban after picking up two yellow cards.
Reports say Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa will replace Guehi, but on the left side of a back three rather than a straight swap as John Stones’ centre-back partner.
Kyle Walker will move from right-back to right centre-back, with Kieran Trippier going from left-back to right wing-back, the pair reuniting on that flank after they played in those positions at the 2018 World Cup.
Declan Rice and Kobbie Mainoo will continue in central midfield, with Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden in narrow attacking positions in front of them behind captain Harry Kane.
Southgate has been criticised for not getting the best out of a talented attack, including playing Foden on the left where he has struggled to impact games.
The match kicks off at 5pm UK time.
