JOSH Davison said he was looking forward to working with manager Nigel Adkins again after joining Tranmere Rovers on a two-year deal from AFC Wimbledon for an undisclosed fee.
Davison, 24, scored eighteen goals in 92 games for the Dons after joining from Charlton Athletic in the summer of 2022.
The Dons have a sell-on clause in the deal.
“I’m excited to be here and it’s looking good for the season ahead,” Davison said on Tranmere’s website.
“I can’t wait. I’ve played on some noisy nights at Prenton Park so I’m excited.
“I’ve played some of my best football under the gaffer when I was at Charlton and he always made me feel confident when I was playing, so I’m looking forward to that again.”
Adkins said: “Josh provides another attacking dynamic to the team and we are delighted he has joined us.
“Having managed the hard-working striker before, I’m really looking forward to seeing him in a Tranmere Rovers shirt and continuing to develop his potential.”
Head of football operations Craig Cope said: “We would like to wish Josh and his family all the best with their move and thank him for his contribution to Wimbledon over the past two seasons.”
