FORMER Millwall midfielder Shaun Williams has signed for National League South side Eastbourne Borough.

Williams, 37, was a free agent after leaving Gillingham in the summer following two seasons at Priestfield.

Former Ireland international Williams will link up with four ex-Lions at Priory Lane. Joe Wright, George Alexander, Jayden Davis and vice-captain Alfie Pavey are all at the club, under manager Adam Murray.

Williams made 481 appearances for MK Dons, the Lions, Portsmouth and Gillingham in the Championship, League One and League Two.

He won three Ireland caps in 2018, scoring once.

Eastbourne Borough are second in the table with seventeen points from eight games and host tenth-place Boreham Wood in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
