BROMLEY have announced Billy Taylor as their new chief operating officer.

Taylor joins after a brief stint as Premier League senior communications manager.

Taylor spent thirteen years at Bromley’s Championship neighbours Millwall, starting out as a media officer before progressing to become head of media, then director of communications and COO.

He was part of a Lions shake-up last May, when the club announced his departure along with those of the chief executive, Steve Kavanagh, and head of football operations and recruitment, Alex Aldridge. Aldridge, from Sutton, recently joined MLS side Colorado Rapids as their head of scouting.

Taylor, 34, said on the club’s website: “I’m incredibly excited to join Bromley at a time of tremendous growth on and off the pitch for the club.

“The club has come a long way in recent seasons, particularly around infrastructure expansion and development, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with further plans and strategies. I hope to be able to contribute positively to those and other wider endeavours in the months and years ahead and am grateful to the chairman and to Mark [Hammond] for entrusting me with such responsibilities.”

Ravens CEO Hammond added: “I’m delighted to welcome Billy to Hayes Lane. In what has been, and remains a transitional period for the club, Billy will bring a wealth of experience with him which will help us as we continue our journey, adjusting to life in an EFL environment.

“He joins us having held senior positions at Millwall, so knows the EFL very well, enabling him to be a key knowledge holder for the club as we look to establish ourselves and push on as a club.”
