CHARLTON Athletic have sold out the away end at Northampton Town today – as Nathan Jones everyone to “come together” to build back the football club.
The Addicks beat Derby County for their first win under Jones with a huge away backing at Pride Park on Tuesday night.
That result eased their relegation worries but they are still only four points above the bottom four.
There will be 1,473 supporters in the away end at Sixfields Stadium.
“You won’t build anything on your own and you can’t build anything with two, three, four, five people; it has to be the whole football club,” Jones said. “Everyone comes together.
“That win at Derby was a culmination of a lot of hard work by a lot of people, not just the 11 who started, the manager or the coaches – it was everyone.
“We win together, we celebrate together and we move forward together because it does take everyone.
Jones added: “Every little bit that the fans can give us helps and hopefully we can give them a performance to send them home very, very happy.
“You’re starting to expect that from the fans now in terms of the following and it’s brilliant to see. We want to generate a real togetherness and a real atmosphere where we all want to achieve the goal and they can help with that.”
Tennai Watson went off sixteen minutes from time against Derby.
Jones said: “It’s just stiffness and tightness because of the games and because something has happened, so that’ll ease up. It’s just how quickly and how much he’s able to then manage it.
“We have to manage the hectic fixture schedule, build on that momentum and pick up the points that we need. These are big games coming up.”
