MOISES Caicedo has trained with Chelsea ahead of the Club World Cup final on Sunday – but there was concern as Robert Sanchez missed Thursday’s session.
Enzo Maresca’s Blues defeated Fluminense 2-1 in the semi-final – thanks to a double from new signing Joao Pedro on his debut – and will face Paris Saint-Germain in the final after Luis Enrique’s side thumped Real Madrid 4-0.
Midfielder Caicedo limped off towards the end of the game as Chelsea finished with ten men, and afterwards Maresca wasn’t sure of the extent of the damage.
But Caicedo has given his boss and team-mates a big boost as they prepare to face the most devastating team in world football at the moment.
PSG beat Inter Milan 5-0 in the Champions League final in May, Atletico Madrid 4-0 in the group stages of this tournament and Bayern Munich 2-0 in the quarter-finals.
There was concern for Chelsea, however, as Robert Sanchez was absent from the goalkeeping drills involving Filip Jorgensen, Mike Penders and Gaga Slonina.
The final kicks off in New Jersey on Sunday at 8pm (BST).
