FULHAM defender Tosin Adarabioyo is close to completing a free transfer to Newcastle United.

Adarabioyo, 26, is set to be joined at the Magpies by another centre-back, AFC Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly.

Newcastle are putting the finishing touches on both transfers, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Adarabioyo has made 132 appearances in all competitions for Fulham since joining from Blackburn Rovers for £2million in October 2020.

The former Manchester City defender played 25 times last season, scoring twice, with his last appearance in the 3-1 defeat to Liverpool at Craven Cottage on April 21.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Esenga and Samuel Amissah have both signed their first professional deals with the Cottagers.

The defenders were key players in Ali Melloul’s under-18s and Hayden Mullins’ under-21s  last season.

Left-sided defender Esenga made his debut alongside the versatile Amissah for England under-17s last October.
