Bromley host Dons in historic EFL Cup tie – plus Millwall and Queens Park Rangers get tough away assignments

BROMLEY will host AFC Wimbledon in an historic draw in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

The Ravens are competing in the Football League for the first time and will play their fellow League Two side in the south section of the competition.

Another stand-out tie is Millwall’s trip to Portsmouth, who are now also a Championship side after their promotion last season.

Queens Park Rangers have been given a tricky assignment with a trip to Cambridge United.

Charlton Athletic will host Birmingham City, who were relegated to League One in 2023-24.

The thirteen Premier League teams not in European competition will enter the competition in the second round, as will relegated Luton Town and Burnley.

Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United will enter the third round.

The first and second rounds are divided into North and South sections.
