MILLWALL legend Tim Cahill’s son Shae has joined Premier League Nottingham Forest.
Cahill, 19, has signed a two-year deal after leaving Brisbane Roar in June.
Cahill was born in Merseyside in 2005 when his dad was playing for Everton, whom he joined from the Lions in 2004.
Tim Cahill scored 56 goals in 249 appearances in seven seasons at Millwall after moving from Australia. One of them was the only goal at Old Trafford as the Lions beat Sunderland 1-0 to reach the 2004 FA Cup final, their only appearance in the decider in the competition’s history.
Shae Cahill, a midfielder, is with Forest at their training camp in Spain. Forest and Millwall play a friendly on Monday.
“I’m so happy and excited to start this next chapter with Nottingham Forest,” Cahill said on the club’s website. “I want to thank everyone at the club and my family for supporting me.
“My goals are to train hard and to dedicate myself to being the best I can be, making both my family and the football club proud.”
Forest head of academy Chris McGuane added: “We are delighted to welcome Shae to Nottingham Forest and are excited to see how he integrates into the B Team group.
“Shae has had first-team experience out in Australia and is joining the club hungry to improve as a player.”
Tim wrote on X: “Congratulations. We are all so proud of you and enjoy this next chapter.”
