FORMER Millwall attacker Abdul Abdulmalik has signed for National League South Boreham Wood after leaving the Lions this summer.

Abdulmalik, 21, helped Millwall win Professional Development League titles in each of the last two seasons.

Abdulmalik was highly rated in his earlier years at The Den. After being offered a new contract in the summer of 2021, he had trials with Southampton and Watford.

He eventually signed a new deal but didn’t make a first-team appearance.

Boreham Wood were relegated from the National League last season after finishing 21st.

Manager Ross Jenkins told the club’s media: “I’m delighted to get Abdul on board. He’s an exciting player who can change a game with his attacking abilities and speed.

“Having fresh legs and enthusiasm is key to a squad and he also adds a different dynamic to our ranks.”
