MILLWALL are hoping to complete a deal to sign left-back Joe Bryan on a free transfer from Fulham.
There is still some work to be done to complete the move. The Lions are back for the start of pre-season training at Calmont Road tomorrow and hope to have Bryan on board before then.
Former Bristol City defender Bryan, 29, spent last season on loan at Ligue 1 side Nice where he made nine appearances and scored once.
After starting his career with the Robins, Bryan had loan spells at Bath City and Plymouth Argyle before he joined the Cottagers for a reported £6million in the summer of 2018.
Bryan, playing in the Premier League, scored against Millwall in Fulham’s 3-1 win at The Den in the EFL cup that season.
The high point of his time at Fulham and in his career was when he scored two goals, both in extra-time, in the 2-1 win against Brentford in the 2020 Championship play-off final.
He made 16 Premier League appearances the following season, scoring against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Bryan should become Millwall’s second signing of the summer after Kevin Nisbet.
