THERE were mixed fortunes for Millwall’s international contingent in Euro 2024 qualifying over the weekend.

Midfielder George Saville played the full game as Northern Ireland were denied a late draw in Denmark in Group H.

After Jonas Wind had given the hosts the lead, Michael O’Neill’s side thought they had rescued a point only for Callum Marshall’s volley to be ruled out by VAR for offside against Jonny Evans.

Northern Ireland are fifth of six teams in the group with three points from three games and host Kazakhstan at Windsor Park on Monday night.

Kevin Nisbet was an unused substitute as Scotland stunned Erling Haaland and Norway with two goals in the last three minutes to secure a 2-1 win in Group A.

Haaland had given the hosts the lead with a penalty in the 61st minute, but Lyndon Dykes and Kenny McLean struck in the 87th and 89th minutes to make it three wins from three for Steve Clarke’s side.

Scotland play Georgia at home on Tuesday night.

Tom Bradshaw came on to win his fifth cap for Wales who suffered an embarrassing result as they lost 4-2 at home to Armenia in Group D.

Daniel James put Wales in front before Lucas Zelaryan equalised.

Grant-Leon Ranos made it 2-1 at the Cardiff City Stadium and then added a third after the break to stun the home supporters.

Harry Wilson got one back but Zelarayan scored his second to restore Armenia’s two-goal advantage with 15 minutes left.

Kieffer Moore was sent off in the 78th minute before Bradshaw came on with eight minutes remaining but couldn’t help Rob Page’s side rescue a point.

Wales are in Turkey for their game tonight.

Meanwhile, Aidomo Emakhu will be hoping to make his Ireland under-21 debut this evening when Jim Crawford’s side face Kuwait in a friendly in Austria.
