QUEENS Park Rangers have triggered an extension in striker Sinclair Armstrong’s contract.

Armstrong, 20, scored four goals in 40 games in all competitions last season and also made his debut for Ireland.

Armstrong has made 64 appearances for the R’s since joining from League of Ireland side Shamrock Rovers in 2020 and won the young player of the year award in his two full seasons as part of the senior squad.

Chief executive Christian Nourry said on the club’s website: “Sinclair works incredibly hard and is determined to be the best he can be.

“He has a fantastic attitude and his desire on the pitch is matched by a real humbleness off it.”
