SLOBODAN Tedic says promotion is the target at Charlton after completing a late deadline day loan switch from Manchester City.

The Serbian striker joined the Citizens from Cukaricki three years ago and although he has yet to make an appearance for the treble winners, the 23-year-old has spent loan spells with Dutch outfit PEC Zwolle and last season at Barnsley.

Tedic scored four times in 21 appearances for the Tykes and will be aiming to put his earlier League One experience to good use at The Valley, where he will ply his trade until the end of the campaign.

He said: “I am very happy to be part of a big club with big history.

“I will do my best to help my team win every game and to win promotion, which is our goal.

“I cannot wait to meet my team-mates, train with the group and play in front of all of our fans.”

Meanwhile, two Addicks players departed SE7 yesterday on loan deals.

Diallang Jaiyesimi has linked up with St Johnstone and Zach Mitchell has joined Colchester United, both for the rest of the season.
