FODE Ballo-Toure says he couldn’t turn down Fulham once they launched a deadline day bid to sign him on loan from AC Milan.

The two clubs left it late to get all the paperwork completed but now the Senegal international left-back is officially a Fulham player for the rest of the season after two years with the Italian giants.

And Ballo-Toure can’t wait to get started after revealing he was a big admirer of how Fulham performed last year under Marco Silva back in the Premier League.

He told Fulham TV: “I’m a very big fan of the Premier League. I watch a lot of matches on the weekend and I followed Fulham last season – they played very good football.

“They are a very good team and that’s why I didn’t hesitate and I know that I will improve here.

“The fact that they are in the Premier League – it’s a very good league, the best in the world for me. So I didn’t hesitate and I came here.”

Ballo-Toure added: “For me, you can’t turn down Fulham. I saw how they played last season and it was hard for me to turn them down.

“I know it’s a very good group of players and a very good team and they suit me.

“It was hard for me to turn down. I hope to have good performances and win as many matches as possible, do better than last season.”

Despite the obvious enthusiasm for his latest club, Ballo-Toure admits the last few days have been a bit of a rollercoaster after completing a switch he hadn’t initially anticipated.

He explained: “It’s been very peculiar. I didn’t expect it. Personally I thought I was going to stay in Milan.

“At the last minute I got a phone call from my agent who told me that Fulham wanted me.

“I didn’t hesitate, I said yes and it happened very fast.”

Asked to describe what Fulham fans can expect from him this season, the 26-year-old replied: “The time of player I am – I’m fast, aggressive I like one-vs-one duals and I’m generous for the team.

“I’ve often been told about London and the Premier League. I think that it’s a league that suits me. I am very happy to be here in the Premier League and London.”
