Transfer rumours hot up at Fulham with Silva set to stay

Marco Silva looks set to reject an eye-watering contract offer from Al Ahli and stick with Fulham reports have claimed.

The Portuguese said ahead of the friendly game with Brentford this weekend his commitment to Fulham was “total” despite Saudi Arabian big spenders Al-Ahli supposedly offering £40million over two years to secure the manager’s services.

There is now growing speculation Silva could soon be set to sign a new deal at Craven Cottage as Fulham look to build on last season’s impressive Premier League return.

But Football Insider report wantaway striker Aleksander Mitrovic is seemingly inching closer to the exit door and heading to Saudi with Al Hilal preparing to up their bid to £50m.

There has certainly been no shortage of transfer speculation at the Whites in recent days.

Goal Brasil have placed a question mark over the exit of fringe striker Rodrigo Muniz to Atletico Minero as the two clubs haggle over a final fee for the 22-year-old who spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough.

The Evening Standard say Callum Hudson-Odoi has already agreed personal terms with Fulham after falling down the pecking order at neighbours Chelsea, where he is still under contract for another year.

Mexican striker Raul Jimenez is poised to complete a £5m switch from Premier League rivals Wolves.

Defenders Mohammed Salisu and Calvin Basey have both been strongly linked with moves to the Cottage from Southampton and Ajax respectively.

However, the Daily Record claim Fulham will draft in just one of their rumoured left-footed defensive targets.

West Ham and Liverpool are waiting to discover just how long Joao Palhinha will be on the sidelines for after he suffered a dislocated shoulder in Fulham’s 3-2 defeat against Brentford.

The midfielder was playing in defence when he sustained the injury in the first half against the Bees.

London neighbours West Ham are believed to have already seen a £45m bid rejected last week, although Liverpool are also interested with Fulham determined to get as much as they can for the 28-year-old.

But he might not be moving anywhere soon as Palhinha is set to soon find out just how serious the shoulder problem is and how long he will be out of action for.
