ADAMA Traore revealed he asked for inside information from former Wolves team-mate Raul Jimenez before joining Fulham.
The 27-year-old attacker agreed to pen a two-year contract with Marco Silva’s side this weekend after leaving Molineux as a free agent in the summer.
Traore and Jimenez both spent five years in the West Midlands together after signing for Wolves in 2018.
And now the duo have reunited by the banks of the Thames, with Jimenez playing a key role in Traore’s decision to head to the capital.
He told Fulham TV: “It has been fast. This is a nice opportunity.
“I’m happy to be here, I’m hungry to start and to see the fans.
“It is a nice opportunity for me, it is a new chapter.
“I like the club and I also have a bit of information from Raul.
“He seems to like the club. I like the team and it is a new experience for me.
“I’m so happy and hungry to help 100 percent here.
“For me the relationship with Raul has been amazing. We have a good friendship, we have a good connection on the pitch also.
“He was happy so I asked him some information about here and it was very nice.”
Meanwhile, there has been renewed speculation linking Aleksandar Mitrovic with long-term suitors Al-Hilal.
The Serbian came off the bench in the second half of Saturday’s 1-0 win at Everton but it looks increasingly likely the Saudi big spenders are set to launch a new bid to land the striker.
Another Fulham forward being linked with a move away from SW6 is Adam Stansfield with the England U20 cap reportedly being lined up for a loan switch to QPR.
