Street Songs is a gut punch of humour and heartbreak with killer tunes audiences know and love.
Making its world premiere at London’s Golden Goose Theatre, Street Songs immerses you in the vibrant world of London’s street performers.
Join headstrong newbie busker Jamie as he hits the streets of London with his guitar to honour his dad alongside his reluctant mentor Charlie, a seasoned female bucket drummer who is not having any of his crap.
Charlie has had it with the endless parade of wannabes scaring off punters. And so is non-plussed when she discovers that her and Jamie make a great duo.
Can Jamie find the closure he so desperately seeks?
Can Charlie land the biggest payday of her career without strangling Jamie first?
This gripping drama-comedy blends crowd-pleasing tunes with the bittersweet journey of grief and letting go.
“Music has been my lifeblood. In my early days, busking paid the rent, kept me fed and built my resilience. ‘Street Songs’ brings me back full circle to reconnect with this part of myself and my long-term collaborator and mate, Brett.”
