An apprenticeships event, where an array of employers will be offering job opportunities and £100 vouchers to the first three residents who gain a position, will take place in Bermondsey next week.

Step Ahead works with Southwark Council by offering support, guidance and advice for local residents seeking employment.

Next week (Wednesday 7th June), they are hosting an exclusive one-day event for residents of Southwark who may be looking for an apprenticeship opportunity.

There will be lots of employers offering opportunities on the day, as well as recruiters to support people.

A spokesperson from Step Ahead said: “This really will be a great opportunity for residents to come along and find out more about apprenticeships.

“Many people believe they are only for young people – which is not the case!”

Like apprenticeships, the event is open to all.

In addition, they are offering a £100 Love2shop voucher for the first three Southwark residents who are placed into an apprenticeship.

Anyone unsure if the event is for them is being advised to join one of the virtual meetings on Monday 5th June at 10:00 am, 2:00 pm or 5:30 pm. to inform residents with information about the forthcoming event on Wednesday.

The event is on Wednesday 7th June, from 10 am – 5 pm at Cherry Garden Hall, 210 Jamaica Road, SE16 4RT.

There is no need to book.
